Witnesses: John Scott Jr, Wm Short Jr., as abstracted in William Lindsay Hopkins, Surry County, Virginia, Deeds 1684-1733] Note: This left 200 acres remaining in the tract. When Brunswick Co was formed, the Three Creeks land fell into the new county. James Voughn's son George Vaughan was left 200 acres where he now lives. Joshua Wynne named in the will of James Voughn d 1735 was the son of Robert Wynne who had been deeded the other 50 acres from this tract. |

Another example: Madison County, Georgia was formed from pieces of Elbert, Oglethorpe, Clarke, Jackson and Franklin Counties. Elbert and Oglethorpe were once part of Wilkes Co. If you do not study the county lines, you will likely miss a lot of valuable data.
