Note: This left 200 acres remaining in the tract. When Brunswick Co was formed, the Three Creeks land fell into the new county. James Voughn's son George Vaughan was left 200 acres where he now lives. Joshua Wynne named in the will of James Voughn d 1735 was the son of Robert Wynne who had been deeded the other 50 acres from this tract.

James Voughn made his will naming his wife Anne (plantation) and son James Voughn (378 acres where he now lives), son Georg Voughn (200 acres where he now lives), Tabither Voughn, Winne Curcks, Mary Mackdanill, Joshua Winn. Executors: James Voughn, George Voughn. Witnessed: William Maclin, James Mize, William Walters. Recorded 3 Jul, 1735. Brunswick County, Virginia Deed Book 1, Page 216. Dr. Stephen E. Another example: Madison County, Georgia was formed from pieces of Elbert, Oglethorpe, Clarke, Jackson and Franklin Counties. Elbert and Oglethorpe were once part of Wilkes Co. If you do not study the county lines, you will likely miss a lot of valuable data.
