James King, son of Robert King married Susannah Chick, daughter of William Chick. He died at a young age leaving two small children and a third on the way. His children were:

Mary West King married John West 16 February, 1789, Benjamin Cannifax, bondsman, Pittsylvania County, Virginia.

Nancy married Martin Templeton 19 March, 1792, Hardin Chick, bondsman, Pittsylvania County, Virginia.

The estate acquired an additional 80 acres for James King in 1787. All of the heirs joined in the sale of all 380 acres in 1800.

28 Mar 1790. William Chick made his will, which was proved on 17 May, 1790. He named sons, William Chick, Richard Chick, Hardin Chick, and Anderson Chick, grandsons James King and Dudley Chick, and wife Susannah Chick. He did not name any daughters.
