Pittsylvania County was formed in 1767 when it was split off from Halifax County. It originally included the present day counties of Pittsylvania, Henry and Patrick.
Parish Intro
Antrim Parish was formed from Cumberland Parish when Halifax County was formed. Camden Parish was formed from Antrin Parish when Pittsylvania County was formed.
