In 1781, John Ramsay made his LWT devising his land to his six sons: George, John, Randolph, Thomas, James and William. Petitioner purchased one moiety (1/2 interest) in the land, secured by bonds. Defendants George, John, Jr. and Randolph have refused to deed their shares. Order in March Court, 1789 appointed commissioners to sell the land and pay one half to the Petitioner. One third of the purchase price shall be paid to Thomas Ramsey when he shall attain the age of 21; One third of the purchase price shall be paid to James Ramsey when he shall attain the age of 21; and One third of the purchase price shall be paid to William Ramsey when he shall attain the age of 21. Mary Ramsey post bond dated 11 Apr 1786 to secure a Lease in favor of William Ryan. Randolph Ramsey posted a bond dated 21 Apr 1788. Randolph and George Ramsey (which sureties) posted a bond dated 13 Apr 1787. George and Mary Ramsey posted a bond dated 10 Apr 1786. Mary died during the case.
