14 pps. Plaintiffs: Reps Elam and his wife Polly, Betsy Gregory, Nancy Gregory, Patsey Gregory, Joel Gregory, Ambrose Gregory, Jane Gregory, William Gregory, Stephen Gregory. Defendant: John Gregory, Excr. of Joseph Gregory, Jr., dec’d and his wife Peggy. Plaintiffs and Defendant John Gregory are the ten children of Joseph Gregory, Jr. His widow Peggy Gregory is entitled to dower. Nancy Gregory, Patsey Gregory, Joel Gregory, Ambrose Gregory, Jane Gregory, William Gregory, Stephen Gregory are infants (minors). Defendants in their answer consented to the relief requested. 4 Mar 1816. Court ordered Dower land be allocated to the widow and the balance shall be sold and divided in 10 parts to each child. Widows dower was her share of the land, 6 slaves and $2,000. Each child to receive $333.33 each, plus... Awarded 25 Feb 1817. Detailed partial allocation follows: 437 3/4 Total acres : Lot 1: 103 1/2 acres; Lot 2: 194 1/4 acres; Dower Lot 140 acres. Plat dated 12 Mar 1816.
