Note: In the 1800 Census of New Hanover Co, there were two Thomas Giddens. One was clearly older and one was younger. The elder Thomas Giddens d. in 1806. The younger Thomas Giddens d. in 1831 in New Hanover Co. as evidenced by 14 Mar 1831 Admr. Bond of James Giddens and John Giddens. His widow Catharine was allotted dower in the estate proceedings. There were no distributions, but the purchasers at the estate sale of his property included Timothy, John & Washington Giddens. |
