Note: James Butler m. Sarah Mathews in 1839. Back in about 1831 there was some estate proceedings on Robert Mathews whose wife was Mary and who had a minor daughter Sarah Mathews. Sarah Butler, wife of John L. G. Davis was b. 1812-1816. In being thorough, I went down the rabbit hole only to find that Sarah Mathews/Mathis m. Peter W. Kilgore. I try to document everything I find, so here it is. |

Notes: from www.familysearch.org Georgia Brockwell was b. 29 Aug 1856 and m. Wiley 22 Dec 1889 in Putnam Co., GA. She was the dau. of John H. Brockwell (1832-1862) and Lucinda Moore (1832-1889). John lived in Walton Co. in 1850. John was the son of Daniel Brockwell (1792-) and his wife Rebecca ____ (). Daniel was also the father of William H. Brockwell, Sr. (1832-1914); and was likely also the father of George W. Brockwell (1831-). Accordingly, it appears that Rebecca, wife of Daniel Brockwell is the sister of Henry Butler. |
