STATE OF GEORGIA

COUNTY OF GWINNETT

AFFIDAVIT

Before the undersigned officer duly authorized to administer oaths in this State personally came David H. Robertson, who on oath deposes and states the following:

1.

My name is David H. Robertson. The facts set forth herein are personally known to me and I am competent to testify to the facts contained herein. I have given this Affidavit for use as evidence to prove the parentage of MARY DAVID, and for all other purposes authorized by law.

2.

I am the great grandson of ADORA ELLIS BRUCE, born September 7, 1875, died June 8, 1965. In approximately 1960 to 1963 I asked her about our family tree. She had a clear memory and was of sound mind at that time. She told me, among other things, that MARY DAVID was the daughter of PETER DAVID. She provided the information on the attached sheet, which was written by my grandmother GLADYS ELIZABETH CRISLER NEWTON. To the best of my knowledge and belief, neither had ever done any formal genealogical research.

3.

I have done extensive genealogical research since 1974. PETER DAVID died intestate in Madison County, Georgia sometime after 1830. His estate records do not provide the names of his children. His children by his last wife ELIZABETH HALE are thought to be MORASSETT, born 9 January, 1795, SARAH, ISAAC, born ca 1799, MARY, born 10 September, 1801, and SAMUEL, born ca 1805. The best recorded corroborating evidence that MARY DAVID is the daughter of PETER DAVID is the will of her brother ISAAC DAVID recorded in Will Book B, Page 362 of Madison County, Georgia. This ISAAC DAVID died without issue. In his will, he named nephews: two sons of MORASSETT DAVID, two sons of SAMUEL DAVID and JOHN M. BRUCE, (son of MARY DAVID BRUCE) as beneficiaries. His will proves he is a sibling of MORASSETT, MARY and SAMUEL DAVID. The birth dates of these siblings is consistent with the 1820 census information of PETER DAVID in Elbert County, Georgia. The only other DAVID in the area old enough to be the parent of the aforesaid siblings is ISAAC DAVID, the known brother of PETER DAVID. All of ISAAC DAVID'S children are proven by his estate records recorded in Madison County, Georgia. None of the aforesaid siblings are children of ISAAC DAVID, brother of PETER DAVID.

                        FURTHER AFFIANT SAYETH NOT.
