Witnessed: Sanders Walker, James Mathews. 14 May 1795, the Reverend James Mathews made oath that he witnessed Moses Mathews and Sarah Mathews sign the deed. Recorded 29 Jul 1795. (Family Search DGS 8140748, Images 555-556.) [Note: Apparently, the deed was first recorded in Wilkes County, Georgia where Moses Mathews lived at the time of signing the deed, then Moses son Rev. James Mathews hand delivered the deed to Fairfield County, South Carolina, where the property was, to be recorded.]
