Joseph Crisler (Brother of Henry Crisler and First Cousin of Julius Crisler)

Note: According to the Crisler Genealogy, Joseph was one of ten children. Seven of the ten children signed powers of attorney to collect what was due them from the estate:

Elias Christler,

Thomas Blankenbeker & Jemima his wife,

Nicholas Gaarr & Elizabeth his wife,

Robert Harrison in right of his wife Mary Harrison

Benjamin Crisler,

Dianah Carpenter,

Aron Glore in right of his wife Rosannah Glore

This meant that Joseph was single, hence his siblings inherited his estate. Anna Crisler, sister of Joseph and wife of Benjamin Yager has no power of attorney on record. Henry Crisler d. ca 1800 predeceased Joseph. Counting Joseph makes all ten children accounted for. However there is one more heir at law of Joseph Crisler.

Daniel Wilhoit & Eve his wife, was the last heir at law. As she was listed along with Joseph’s siblings, one can easily conclude she is also a sibling. However, The Crisler Genealogy shows Eve as the son of Joseph’s brother Henry, Jr. If Eve was an only child, she would stand in for her father’s share and inherit a child’s portion. Further research is warranted by anyone who might be interested.
