ROBERTSON FAMILY

Distant Robertson Cousins in Savannah

My grandfather John Stewart Robertson, Jr. had a niece Sister Ellen Robertson, who lived in Bluffton, SC. Many of my Robertson cousins will remember her but may be vague about how she was related. She was the daughter of our grandfather’s brother Charles Edgar Robertson of Washington, DC and Miami, Florida.

Our Grandmother Sybilla Robertson, on the other hand had several cousins who lived in Savannah. Her father’s sisters and their children were:

Laura Larsen m. Andrew Christiansen

             Arthur Christiansen

Hanna Larsen m. Frank Finster

Agnes Finster m. Leslie Roy North (I remember Agnes well.)

Both of these cousins had children that were unlikely to cross paths with the younger Robertsons.

Her mother’s brother and his son was:

Michael Gainey

             Michael Joseph Gainey

This cousin had a son Michael that was unlikely to cross paths with the younger Robertsons.

Her mother’s sister and her descendants were:

Mary Gainey m. Thomas F. McGuire

Irene McGuire m. James M. Collins, Sr. (I have lost track of their descendants)

Kathleen McGuire m. Frederick Henry Kameron, Sr.

Frederick Henry Kameron, Jr. ( A WWII War hero killed in N. Africa)

                          John Peter Kameron

                          Joseph G. Kameron

John Peter Kameron and Joseph Peter Kameron collectively had numerous descendants that went to B.C. and St. Vincent’s that very well may have crossed paths with the younger Robertsons.

There are a few more cousins that never had children that I have left off for brevity’s sake.
