Discussion |
9 Jul 1868. Emma Cooper, daughter of David G. Cooper married Aaron Rogers, son of Thomas F. Rogers. |
A very curious fact bears some discussion. David G. Cooper, father of Emma Cooper lived in the south side of Colquitt Co. very near to the Brooks County line. Thomas F. Rogers, father of Aaron Rogers lived in or near Quitman near the Florida line. How did Aaron Rogers meet Emma Cooper? The answer is surprisingly simple. David G. Cooper’s mother remarried Hansel Willeford after David G. Cooper’s father had died. Hansel Willeford lived in very close proximity to Thomas F. Rogers. Emma Cooper must have met Aaron Rogers when she was visiting with her grandmother Elizabeth Willeford. |
