There were too many Rogers deeds that I cared to abstract. Selected deeds were chosen through about 1900. You may note that many deeds are dated long before Brooks County was formed. Brooks Co. was formed from Lowndes Co., which suffered a catastrophic courthouse fire. After Brooks County was formed, many of the landowners re-recorded their deeds in Brooks Co. that had been previously recorded in Lowndes Co.! |
