1840 Margaret McKernan was born in Jefferson County, VA (now WV) according to her death certificate. Family tradition says Harper's Ferry, WV. She is not found in the records of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Harper's Ferry as they start in 1861.

19 Nov 1872. D.W. Wheeler and George E. Johnson appraised the estate of John Robertson, deceased at $1,967.50. Filed 23 Nov 1872. Will Book 3, Page 488, #6838.

16 Sep 1872. Joseph Gawler, General Furnishing Undertaker, 1721 Pennsylvania Avenue between 17th and 18th Streets, Washington, DC provided funeral services. His services included making a walnut casket, hire of four carriages and a hearse, keeping and dressing the body, five hat scarfs a five pairs of gloves. Filed with court on 31 Oct 1872.
