JOHN ROBERTSON OF WASHINGTON, DC Margaret McKiernan/McKernan, wife of John Robertson came to Washington, DC ca 1855 according to her death certificate. She would have been 14 years old at that time.
St. Aloysius Church 26 May 1864. John Robertson was “conditionally” baptized by father B.A. McGuire. His baptismal records reveals he was born 24 Feb, 1834 and was the son of John Robertson and Margaret Stewart. St. Aloysius Church Baptism Record A (renumbered Book I), page 150.

1840 Margaret McKernan was born in Jefferson County, VA (now WV) according to her death certificate. Family tradition says Harper's Ferry, WV. She is not found in the records of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Harper's Ferry as they start in 1861.

16 Sep 1872. Joseph Gawler, General Furnishing Undertaker, 1721 Pennsylvania Avenue between 17th and 18th Streets, Washington, DC provided funeral services. His services included making a walnut casket, hire of four carriages and a hearse, keeping and dressing the body, five hat scarfs a five pairs of gloves. Filed with court on 31 Oct 1872.
